| Alright, so it's been a long time since I've felt the need to yammer on about my problems in a web log for anyone who really gives a shit to see. So I officially graduated from Purdue, and as exciting as that sounds, I'm in a state of utter limbo. They call Indiana The Crossroads of America, and in my mind that means this state is just an intersection you get stuck at on the way to your destination. Maybe a boring highway that has no view and never seems to end. Well, I've decided to stick around for at least a year, probably more. Now, before I go on, I loved my time at Purdue. I made some of the best friends I'll ever have, and had the best times I could imagine. But when the college mindset of constant excitement and, lets face it, naiveness subsides, and we're suddenly in the "real world", what does Indiana become then? Is it my home? I don't think so. It's where I live. So why am I staying? The reason is pretty simple, this is my crossroad (deep, I know). I need time to make money, gain experience, and prepare for the next big step. All of my film crew are still at Purdue, and I'm not ready to venture off into the unknown alone. I'm a pussy, I know.
So, what's going on in my life right now? On the job front there are several things going on. For full time, I'm waiting to hear back from a local marketing company. They currently don't do in-house video work, and are considering making the push forward. They've told me that if they need video, I'm there guy, so I'm crossing my fingers. I feel like I'm floating in limbo, not knowing if I'll get a "real job" with a salary and benefits and a college degree as a requirement. I've had two good interviews with them, and if I don't get this job, I honestly don't know where I'll apply next.
On the freelance front, I've been working with a couple close friends for a company called Swift Enterprises. See this web site? Yeah, we did that. You know how everyones freaking out, trying to find that next fuel to replace petroleum that will lower emissions and gets less than $3.50 a gallon? Yeah, they've made that. Right now they're hitting the aviation industry and turning major heads. By major, I mean everyone you've heard of in aviation. Everyone from Boeing to Cessna have been knocking on their door. The work we're doing for them started with the web design, and has covered graphic design/corporate image, and now press releases. With this, we've made ourselves a little company called MindWall Creative Developments LLC. We just got the official LLC, and now we're getting things together quickly.
So where am I? Somewhere in limbo, honestly. I'm kinda floating around until I get some kind of anchor (i.e. a job), and I'm sure every newly unemployed college grad can relate. I mean, I've only been out of college for a little over a week. It'll get better.... right?

| I know, it's kissing in the rain. But the context is quite a bit different in this film.
Once again, pulled straight from footage we've shot.

| Here's a screen grab from a scene from "A Dreamer's Rendezvous".

This is from a scene in the film shot on a JVC GY-HD110 with a Red Rock Micro 35mm lens adaptor. This is a taste of the visual style of the film. More to come! | | |
| The first night of production is in the books, and all I can say is we got some great footage. Today we're going to spend an entire day at a lake, then our night at another exterior location. This weekend's going to be a long challenge, but we are gonna rock this shit.
cheers.
